Hele Mai Maui 2045 is a light update to our island’s 20-year plan to make moving around Maui safe, efficient, and sustainable.
It identifies transportation projects and programs that improve mobility options for people of all ages and abilities. Developing and updating a long-range transportation plan (LRTP) is a Federal requirement carried out by the Maui Metropolitan Planning Organization (Maui MPO). This plan helps to prioritize how to spend limited transportation funds on projects that best serve the values identified by the community.
